  • Our Geography degree courses are focused around an innovative and interdisciplinary approach, with emphasis on, student-focused, research-led teaching. Our aim is to prepare students with the academic training and practical skills necessary to confront complex, real-world challenges and make the world a better place.

  • You will be taught by internationally recognised researchers with expertise in a broad range of topics in human and physical geography, including natural hazards and volcanology, climate change and sea-level rise, renewable energy resources, valuing ecosystem services, environmental policy, behavioural and experimental economics, environmental justice, social protection and wellbeing. 
  • Our academics work closely with policymakers, communities and businesses to affect change, and regularly advise on national and international policy issues such as atmospheric pollution, the marine environment, climate change, poverty reduction and environmental sustainability.
